About Lucky Stars Sanctuary
Lucky Stars Sanctuary was founded in 2016 on the conviction that all animals deserve a life of respect and care. We welcome those who are injured, neglected, or abandoned, providing them with a safe haven and a place to flourish.
Nestled in the peaceful surrounds of Wootton, NSW Lucky Stars Sanctuary is a haven of compassion for animals.
Our devotion is unwavering as we rescue and offer lifetime care to animals in need.
Lucky Stars Sanctuary isn’t just an animal shelter; it’s a community united by a mission to transform the lives of animals.
Your engagement and support enable us to continue providing a sanctuary for animals and a nurturing space for human-animal interactions that comfort and heal. Together, we are building a world where the bond between humans and animals is celebrated and cherished.
Rescuing and caring for these incredible animals requires your kind support. Lucky Stars relies on your generous donations so we can continue to give countless animals a loving home.
We are grateful to our donors who support us and allow us to continue our mission.
The Lucky Stars Team
Lucky Stars was founded by Kerrie Carroll in 2016. In 2019, Clint Seares joined the sanctuary as Kerrie’s devoted partner in life and mission.
Kerrie tragically passed away in 2023, leaving Clint and his daughter Anna as the custodians of Lucky Stars Sanctuary.
Clint and Anna are completely dedicated to continuing the legacy of Kerrie and Lucky Stars, and have a vision for building the sanctuary as a model for peaceful animal-human cohabitation.
With a supportive committee and enthusiastic team of volunteers, Clint is paving the way for a bright future for Lucky Stars and all the animals who call it home.

In Memory of Kerrie Carroll
We reflect with profound respect and affection on the life of Kerrie, founder of Lucky Stars Sanctuary, whose spirit and love continue to guide our sanctuary.
Kerrie’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication laid the foundations of our haven—a place where animals arecherished and nurtured to thrive. Her vision transcended the provision of shelter; it fostered a sanctuary that celebrates life in its many forms.
Kerrie’s passion and dedication were recognised by the community and her peers, as evidenced by her receipt of the Australia Day Achievement Award in 2017 and her nomination as a Finalist for the Women of Spirit Awards in 2023. These accolades reflect the impact of her tireless work and the resonance of her heartfelt mission.
Her legacy is seen not only in the joyful lives of the animals she rescued but also in the hearts she touched, offering peace and respite to both humans and animals alike.
As we continue our mission, we honour Kerrie’s enduring vision. We are deeply thankful for the unwavering support that this community has shown—a testament to the strength and love you have shared with us.
To everyone who has volunteered, contributed financially, or offered words of comfort: your involvement is more crucial now than ever.
Together, we will sustain Kerrie’s beacon of hope and achieve the sanctuary’s aspirations as she had envisioned. Her memory serves as an inspiration and a guiding force, encouraging us to forge ahead in creating the compassionate world she strived for.
In eternal remembrance and with deepest gratitude, thank you.
